REPLAY VIDEO - Snowflake Girls, Monument Valley Boys Win Varsity Contests on Saturday at Snowflake Northland Basketball

January 12, 2018 - Monument Valley's boys came into their Saturday tilt with Snowflake ranked No. 11, and they came away with a 52-46 win over No. 28 Snowflake on the strength of Merwin Willie's 12 point performance. Willie was name SZR Player of the Game. 

 

January 12, 2018 - The Snowflake Lady Lobos won their third game in a row with a fourth quarter come back, then holding on in the final moment for a 33-30 victory over defending state runners-up Monument Valley. Heather Whipple scored all of her six points in the 4th quarter, including four clutch foul shots, to pick up the SZR Player of the Game award. Tristen Hancock led the lady lobos with eight points on the afternoon. 

 

January 9, 2018 - Show Low's Colton McGinnis hit a jump shot at the final buzzer to give Show Low a 51-49 victory over the No. 5 ranked Winslow Bulldogs, Wednesday night at Cougar Gymnasium. Show Low came in No. 11 and the crucial 3A East win should vault them into the top 10. Aahron Villalba picked up the SZR Player of the Game with 17 points to go with a solid defensive effort.

 

January 5, 2019 - The No. 12 ranked Page Sand Devils took down the No. 3 Monument Valley Mustangs, 61-54, to move their season record to 11-3 overall. Gabe Gomez led the way with three 3-pointers and 21 total points and earned the SZR Player of the Game. Anu Sloan hit a trio of 3-pointers in the first quarter and finished with 18 points. MV's Andrew Sheppard led a second half charge with 18 points in the game. 

 

January 5, 2019 - The defending 3A champion Page Lady Sand Devils traveled to Monument Valley for a rematch of the 2018 title game, and got a great all-around effort from the Sports Zone Radio Player of the Game, Myka Taliman, on the way to a 46-36 victory. 

 

November 21, 2018 - The Snowflake Lobos score the first seven points of the game, and led nearly the entire game until Tyrek Cosay hit a two free throws to give Alchesay their first lead with just 1:58 remaining in the fourth quarter. The Falcons took advantage of points off two Kellen Parrish steals and overall play from the Sports Zone Radio's Player of the Game, Shane Stover, to close out the Lobos for the 50-47 victory at Lobo Gymnasium.
